This week, I did my article on Obama and his view of the high gas price. The article stated that Obama think that the gas price will encourage Americans to rethink about the way we drive and the way we buy cars. Obama said that he'd seen a change in the sale of trucks, SUV and sport cars. He also said that he himself is owning a hybrid car. Obama also said that he believes that the federal government should help car maker makes fuel efficient a priority when making car.
I think that it is a good thing that Obama is coming out and indirectly supporting the cleanin up of the environment. However, I would like to see him, speaking about his view and what he would do to help decrease the gas price. I also think that it was great that Obama thinks the government should help out the car manufacture. To me, this shows that Obama wants to get this done and he doesn't want to make the manufactures doing it alone. By having a hybrid car, it shows that Obama is following his words and his beliefs; also it is an example to the people.
Fun Post: So graduation is so near and Im so excited in a way but Im also so sad....Class of O8!!!!

In my opinion, Obama's strong support for preserving the environment will definetly give him strong feedback in the number of votes he will get in the elections. Nowadays, with the different causes associated with global warming, more people are concerned, and this may even lure Republicans who feel strongly about this issue to vote Democratic for this election.
You also made another good point that Obabma is not being hypocritical about what he preaches; being that he owns a hybrid. I think that the next step car manufacturers should take is trying to make hybrids of economically affordable prices for the middle class.

I think that Obama is doing a good job to increase support on his campaing. Actually keeping with his word and ataying his approval and request for people to use Hybrids is really great and I hope the the general public get the message. He has to talk to OPEC to actually help reduce gas prices (a lot of those nations are major civil rights violators). I don't think that the gas prices are all so bad compared to other countries. But Obama has really gandered more support with his views in helping the enviroment.
We really need new energy sources.
Looking at this article, it just shows how well of an orator Obama is. He doesn't exactly state his opinion on gas prices but uses it to show his views on the environment(which is how he favors cleaning it up). i agree that it does show Obama looking to get things done, which i believe correlates to his campaign focus on change.
i agree: i mean i like mr. obama but how do we decrease the gas prices instead of just getting over it? i mean it really doesnt have to be this way.
